"Architecture and design has truly opened my eyes to the world. I find it fascinating how the time and period of thought affects the way a building is conceived and constructed. Regardless of the project, it is important to understand the meaning it will have on the built environment now and in the future."
Wendy’s current project experience includes the new Learning Resource Library at Midlands Technical College. Wendy is a graduate of Clemson University, where she earned her Master of Architecture degree and placed first in the program’s 2011 Carolina Ceramics Materials + Assemblies design competition. Wendy received the Robert Miller Award for Rigor at the Clemson Architecture Center in Charleston, an honor that recognizes a student for demonstrating extraordinary rigor in the study of architecture. Prior to graduate school, she interned for three years at the Chicago office of PSA-Dewberry. During this time, she worked on a variety of higher education projects, and conducted LEED analyses.
During her undergraduate and graduate studies, Wendy studied at off-campus programs in Florence, Italy; Barcelona, Spain; and Charleston, South Carolina.
Wendy previously served as President of the AIA Greater Columbia Chapter and recently became a registered architect.
