Richland School District One requested a design for a new Library Addition for Rosewood Elementary, a 500 student school. The school has outgrown their current space and in need of a new space that more closely supports their educational program. The library will include a Main Use Area, with flexible furniture and soft seating, an office, conference room, workroom and associate storage. Currently in Schematic Design, the design of the addition looks to be a flexible, daylight filled space that can accommodate the ever-changing needs of both future technology and the needs of the students and faculty. Rather than simply being a place to store books, this new library will be a place focused on gathering, collaborating, and inspiring. The renovation and addition total to 4,486 square feet.
