High School Athletic Projects

Challenge and controversy highlighted the beginnings of this ambitious effort to reconstruct Dreher High School in its current site, made possible due to the acquisition of additional adjacent land. An intense series of design Charrettes and community input sessions over several months produced a design that satisfies adjacent neighborhood concerns and provides expanded and much improved facilities to the High School in its urban setting. The new, 260,000 square foot structure was built in phases to allow the existing school to operate until completion. The design was developed in partnership with Perkins + Will's K-12 studio.
