Barb Haller, AIA LEED AP BD+C
A firm principal since 2011, Barb has served as project manager on a number of the firm’s projects. “She plays an important role in the implementation phase, ensuring that all projects are technically superior,” says firm founder and president Doug Quackenbush. Her involvement includes the more detailed administrative functions of the construction stage.
Among the projects Barb has overseen are the University of South Carolina Softball Stadium—an addition to the Athletic Village—and several Richland School District Two sites: Blythewood High School, which was a CEFPI national finalist for the McConnell Award; Muller Road Middle School, which received the AIA-GC 2012 Honor Award; and Ridge View High School, which involved significant renovations and additions. Barb’s other projects include the Midlands Technical College Northeast Engineering Technology and Sciences Building, and the Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College, Transportation and Logistics Center.
A member of the South Carolina Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, Barb holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Cincinnati. She is NCARB certified, a LEED Accredited Professional, and a member of the South Carolina Chapter of the U.S. Green Buildings Council. Active in her community, she is a former member of the South Carolina Public School Facilities Committee.
