A comprehensive master plan and feasibility study for the growing congregation at Lake Murray Presbyterian Church pointed to a new Children’s Ministry Building. The 14,000-square-foot building was identified as a critical need. The facility houses classrooms, a lunchroom and library, administrative offices, and a nursery for the Day School, a ministry of the church dedicated to serving children and parents by nurturing the whole child.

The layout divides the building into two wings on either side of the campus’s central “Main Street.” This arrangement integrates the structure with the existing campus and breaks down its scale for a sense of harmony, framing outdoor play areas while maximizing natural light and easy access to the outdoors.
