Ever since I was a kid, I was fascinated with how people used the spaces around them. Today I enjoy working to create sustainable designs that people can more efficiently live, work, or raise their families in. Each project encourages us to ask, “how can this space help people experience their lives more fully?”

Edward grew up on Johns Island and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Portland State University in Oregon. He returned to his home state after 15 years in the Northwest with a desire to contribute to the Midlands’ vibrant efforts to create sustainable designs in the region.

“Quackenbush has a strong commitment to the community and sustainability as a whole, and that’s something I wanted to be a part of,” he says. “It’s exciting to be back home and to work to make a difference.”

Edward says he is especially drawn to designing spaces that help people experience their lives more fully. “I’m fascinated by the process of incorporating sustainable practices throughout all phases of design.”
