Mitch Newbold, AIA

Mitch is a native of Herrin, Illinois, and has Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Studies from Southern Illinois University and a Master of Architecture degree from Clemson University. He has worked in Columbia since 2012 on a variety of higher education and community projects. He is also an AIA Columbia board member.

He says architecture gives him the joy of creating something that others can experience and enjoy. He points to Quackenbush projects in Columbia as examples of buildings that have that have created an invigorated sense of community, from the renovations of Boyd Plaza at the Columbia Museum of Art to the Rosewood Elementary Library and its addition.
