In collaboration with the Town of Batesburg-Leesville, Midlands Technical College planned a new campus on a historic site located at the termination of the Town's Main Street. The Educational Center is the first building on this new campus at 9,400 square feet, and contains general purpose and high tech classrooms and supporting administration space. The building's design recognizes the traditional vernacular of the surrounding town and the adjacent historic Haynes Auditorium, mixing gable forms and special brick detailing with modern fenestration strategies.
