USC Williams Brice Stadium Concourse Expansions & Elevator Addition

University of South Carolina

Completion Date
Est. Fall 2022

Project Budget
$4 Million

Two concurrent projects provide upgrades to fan experience on the west side of the University of South Carolina’s Williams Brice Stadium. The first includes two new elevators and enclosed lobby with direct access to the 200 club level. The elevator shaft will be constructed of concrete to blend with the iconic stadium structure. The enclosed lobby at the plaza level provides conditioned queuing and relieves pedestrian congestion at the main central elevator tower. An expanded platform at the 200 level for elevator access provides views of Gamecock Park and the Long Family Football Operations Center. The second project focuses on the main level concourse to expand amenities and relieve crowding at concessions and restrooms for the approximate 14,000 fans seated in this area. The primary expansion is outward to the west with over 5,000 square feet of space for gathering and small concession zones and views of Gamecock Park. In addition, two expansions on the interior adjacent to the ramps add over 1,600 square feet to assist with increasing concession efficiency. Both projects are part of a multipronged effort to enhance the fan experience at Williams Brice Stadium.
