The Campus Life / Leadership and Service Center is located inside the Russell House at the heart of the University of South Carolina campus, repurposing a typical office suite into an open, inviting, and technologically driven space where students interact with USC leadership staff and each other.

The 3,740-square-foot renovation minimizes partitions to create a flexible space that can be easily reconfigured for different functions and participant groups. A central transition zone is defined by “high-performance” walls incorporating interactive digital media, with the remaining partitions in transparent or semi-transparent glass that retains openness and borrows daylight deeper into the suite. A cantilevered bay window near the Russell House entrance ramp provides optimal north-facing daylight and gives the Leadership Center a new exterior identity.
