The University of South Carolina’s new Brain Health network brings together physicians and researchers to advance the diagnosis and treatment of cognitive health conditions and to narrow disparities in care. The Brain Health Center gives that network a single hub. The design transforms the existing Med Park Fifteen building, next to the Prisma Health campus, into a state-of-the-art facility wrapped in a new exterior skin of limestone and glass.

The renovation reclads the building and delivers extensive interior upfits across multiple floors. Major program components include a full-service neuro-clinic, a physical therapy suite, and a diagnostic suite equipped with two high-definition MRI machines. The project is designed to achieve Two Green Globes, and is a collaboration between Quackenbush Architects + Planners and Perkins&Will.
